I am so sorry I haven't answered! I didn't get a notification of your post. A stick blender is...well, like you'd use to make a milkshake in a large glass or tumbler.

You can buy molds, but you don't need to. If you have a stainless steel sheet pan (like a cookie sheet with a 1-inch or 3-cm rim), you can line it with parchment paper or even waxed paper and press the soap into it, then cut it like you would brownies (a pizza cutter is great for that). Or you can line a bread loaf pan with parchment and then when the soap's solid, unmold and slice it.

Don't be scared of lye. Just be safe and follow the directions. You'll never go back.
